The Butterfly Effect: How Your Life Matters by Andy Andrews is a great gift book that beautifully illustrates how every action, no matter how small, impacts us and others on a larger scale. When we delve deeper, we realize that one minuscule event can change the entire outcome of history. This would be a nice inspirational book for a teenager or graduate that is achieving a milestone in his or her life.

When I first opened the book, I realized it’s main focus was how we see the butterfly effect throughout history, and I was a little awry about reading it since history is not my forte, but Andy Andrews did a wonderful job of using vivid and vibrate imagery throughout the book to illustrate this concept. I didn’t want to stop reading, and was a little bummed that it was such a fast read. I literally finished the book in 15 minutes. Although the book is not overtly spiritual, I was able to relate it to my spiritual life in the fact that everything we do matters and has the potential to change lives for the better. This is a very memorable book that I plan on telling others about.
